Zeus 3/7/14 - 6/8/14 (5 weeks)
Zeus was my first loss. She was a gorgeous little spirit always up for being picked up, even at such a young age... Sadly when the move was made to solid food her poor body couldnt handle it, and with mothers milk lessening by the day she began to grow weaker. Despite my best efforts to feed her, eventually she refused to even swallow water and passed away in my arms early one morning.
Lyra ?/11/10 - 28/12/14
Lyra was a cashmere mini lop with siamese sable colouring. We got her from a backyard breeder some years ago. we saw her when she was but 2 weeks old and fell in love on the spot. Mind you, when dealing with her constant evergrowing locks of thick wispy hair that, once it leaves her body, seemed to deny gravity and constantly float, resting upon any and all clothing of dark complexion.
Lyra had an amazing and adorable personality. She LOVES to groom you, licking all over your face and then grooming and clipping your hair and even beard if you have one. She was also very protective, making sure the "large pink rabbits who do not watch out for predators" (us) are well looked after. She did this by positioning herself as 'lookout' while she thought we are resting, as well as thumping loudly with her feet if she detected anything possibly dangerous. While she was much dumber than her life partner Tiberius, and is often confused, her clumsy loving nature has permanently won her a place in our home and in our hearts. forever...
